Objectives of this role:

Are you a strategic thinker? Are you an efficient planner and organizer? The Fingerpaint Medical team is seeking a motivated individual who can efficiently produce high-quality, technical content while managing multiple timelines. You will be able to accurately interpret, analyze, and communicate data with clients and authors. Experience in specialties such as neurology, oncology, immunology, inflammatory diseases, diabetes, and infectious diseases is a plus. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Function within 1 to 3 business units and produce quality products efficiently under multiple timelines 
  • Accurate scientific/medical writing on a variety of medical communication and promotional projects
  • Develop content with coherent and logical story flow
  • Interpret clinical data accurately
  • Perform literature research (eg, literature or competitor searches)
  • Excellent verbal and written internal communication (eg, project status) and external communication (eg, clients and authors)
  • Work in a cross-functional team, establishing effective working interactions with editorial, presentation services, account services, and project management teams

Job Requirements:

Education

  • PhD in life sciences, MD

Experience

  • ≥1-year postdoctoral research or prior scientific communications agency experience with developing publications including scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
  • Demonstrable interest in medical writing (eg, participation in other writing initiatives such as scientific blogs, freelancing)
  • Excellent writing and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple timelines
  • Efficient planning and organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and reference management software (eg, Endnote, Reference Manager)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with developing publications including scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
